Hudson Joseph Meek, a 16-year-old actor known for his role in Baby Driver, tragically passed away following a devastating accident. The young star, who once shared the screen with Ansel Elgort and Jamie Foxx, succumbed to his injuries on December 22, less than two days after being thrown from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
Meek was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, where he excelled academically and socially. He was a proud member of the Rebel Football Team, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Student Government Association. “His vibrant personality and love for sports, especially football, basketball, and boxing, endeared him to many,” his obituary shared.
Beyond his love for sports, Meek’s acting career earned him acclaim. He played the younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character in Baby Driver and appeared in 90 Minutes in Heaven and the TV series Found. His community mourned his loss, with loved ones stating, “Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight.”
