MY IN-LAWS KICKED ME AND MY NEWBORN OUT OF THE HOUSE — THEY REGRETTED IT SOON AFTER. I live with my husband, our little baby, and my in-laws in the same house. Every single day, my in-laws have these huge, loud fights that just never end. Yesterday, while my baby was napping, I could hear them yelling downstairs even with our door shut. During a brief moment of silence, I calmly said, “Hey, just so you know, the baby’s sleeping,” and then walked away. A few minutes later, I heard my FIL cursing my name, saying something about “my house” to my MIL. Then he stormed up to me, still furious, and snapped, “Just so you know, you don’t shush me in my own home. This is MY house. I gave my son the money to buy it, so you don’t get to tell me what to do. If you think you’re so smart, go live with your mom where it’s comfy and quiet. Maybe when my son’s back from his business trip, he’ll think about letting you come back.” I was totally shocked and couldn’t say a word.
